Googled it to see if it was open-said it was open until 5 pm so we drove down and it was shut-I know it’s Christmas Holidays but please update your open and closed times so people don’t waste their time driving to your business.

I work at a local camp most summers, and this bakery is a favourite of the staff at the camp. People often go to it, particularly for their cinnamon buns. I had one of the classic cinnamon buns here once, and I am happy to say that it was just as amazingly good as everyone made it out to be! There are lots of different cinnamon bun options too. This is a great place to stop in and get a quick snack if you are traveling north or south on the Island Highway. But it's a great place to go any other time too! When you go, you can also check out some of the other interesting shops nearby. Definitely recommend the Old Town Bakery!

Easily the best cinnamon buns I've ever tasted. Definitely worth the drive from wherever you live!

Just stopped in this morning (Sep 25, 7:45am). Two people working the counter. One filling an order, the other yapping away to a customer. I'm standing there waiting to place an order and not one peep comes from either employee. No acknowledgment of any sort, just ignored. Walked out. They just lost me as a customer forever.

Did you know you can get an amazing fresh made loaf of healthy craft style bakery bread for less money than grocery store bread? No wonder they're always so busy. Sure, everyone has heard about the famous cinnamon buns, but if you're lucky you'll get a chance to try one of the apple bearclaw before they're sold out for the day.

Long line up (because it's so popular) but the fantastic cinnamon buns and baked goods make it worth it...not to mention the awesome Gingerbread creation!!

This is a regular for my wife and I, it's worth the drive for the peanut butter cinnamon buns. Great thing to do when we want to just get out of the house and get a nice treat.

Everything is yummy.. I travel distances for this bakery.

I had (what i later learned) was a limited time hedgehog cinnamon bun. Huge! Made to me shared as it was with me. I was invited to share a "must have" cinnamon bun at OTB. Awesome! And so 😎 to see the kitchen from the street-level window! Would be 5 stars except the counter staff were very snobby on my first and second visits. I have to admit i haven't returned. Once it's a "bad day" but twice? I find them very dismissive. Perhaps dividing their time? Not sure if they were coping with a delivery service or not. Noteworthy is that these visits were prior to the lockdown.

Amazing bakery! Please bring back your strawberry rhubarb cinnamon bun, it should really be a regular item, such a popular flavor. It's my absolute favorite, I would be there regularly for them!!!

Lovely spot with an amazing aroma the minute you open the door. Sour dough bread is the best I've had north of San Francisco. And the cinnamon buns - huge and chewy with amazing flavours. A real gem.

Best Cinnamon Buns anywhere.

Only came for the cinnamon buns, which we'd heard so much about. They were very good, though I think they'd be even better if we'd had them fresh right away instead of taking them with us and eating them later (I really liked the peanut butter flavor ones). Staff were very friendly. We called ahead the day before to order and it's a good thing we did because we got there later in the afternoon and they were totally out. Was very busy but they were well staffed and served us quickly!

Great food. Good service. Very busy place! Cinnamon buns are what they're known for and it was delicious! Macaroni & cheese was also very tasty.

The cinnamon buns here are just so good that I always find an excuse to bike or hike in the area to make a stop here after. The Old Town Bakery is renowned for the cinnamon buns and have won several awards on them with several kinds available.There is also lots of good seating and a few tables outside. Additional baked goods, breads, pies, cakes and lunch items are available too. Coffee is served and I like they have a water fountain for people to fill their own cups and water bottles.Consider making a quick stop here if you have a craving for sweets.

We love stopping into this sweet bakery, the best cinnamon buns around and a great ambience. Always fun to stop in during the holidays and check out their gingerbread house.

Friendly staff and amazing baked goods! You won’t ever taste cinnamon buns like these. And they always have yummy lunch specials and soups. Highly recommended as a place to stop for a treat if you are passing through. I do every time I pass through Ladysmith.

I had the best cinnamon bun of my life here. Followed some friends' recommendations and were not disappointed in the slightest. Try the orange poppyseed cinnamon bun if it's available, or really any of the other flavours. You can't go wrong! Regular breads and cookies looked great, too.

I had the cinnamon roll and it was delicious.

The only way to resist the cinnamon buns is to walk down a different block. Do not get within visual range of the cinnamon buns. They are a form of relativistic pastry singularity and nothing which enters their gravitational field can escape. The gravitational effect carries over to unwitting victims such as myself and this is the scientific explanation for my increasing mass as I am continually dragged into the orbit of the buns.

Get here early!!!Old bakery feel. Like, -old- bakery feel. From the solid wood floorboards to the solid wood slab counters, you feel like you've gone back in time.The smells of fresh bread, cookies, pastries and coffee fills the air. Children and adults press their faces up against the display cases like a Rockwell painting, trying hard to decide what to get before it's time to tell the cashier what they want.Typically you can't decide and you get more than you anticipated - but you'll be thankful when you get home. You'll always find someone to share with.Or not, and it's ...okay... to be selfish like that with Old Town Bakery treats. We get it. It's alright. LOL.You'll expect the usual baked fair; bread, pies, cakes, cookies, and pastries, but there's still so much more.So much more.And so many varieties of your favorites.Get there early, plan to get more than you wanted, prepare to work off your indulgence.So much love for this place!

Stopped in there on the way to Tofino. Large selection of different types of cinnamon buns. They were very tasty. We got the tiramisu cinnamon bun and a blackberry and pecan cinnamon buns. There are tables but not many. Parking is on the street, not alot but Ladysmith is a small town anyway.

One of my favorite places to stop at in Ladysmith with a large variety of baked goods. Delicious macarons and the best cinnamon buns I've ever had, the peanut butter ones are deadly good! Cannot recommend this place enough.

This place has an amazing selection of delicious pastries! The cinnamon rolls are heavenly. My only complaint is that they aren’t open on Sundays for an after hike treat.

Best cinnamon buns around - so many different styles and many without the cream cheese icing which is nice.Their strawberry-rhubarb pies are a perfect mix of sweet and tangy, the pot pies are savoury with a beautiful pastry..Yum yum all around.

Best bakery in town, hands down! Actually, best bakery north of Victoria on Vancouver Island. So many varieties and the staff are really friendly. I visit this place every time I pass by Ladysmith!

We picked up our first vegan cake today and it was amazing!! Everyone (kids and adults) loved the chocolate cake and commented on how delicious it was. The cake was so moist and beautifully done. Would highly recommend the Old Town Bakery to anyone, but especially to those with allergies or dietary preferences.

The most awesome cinnamon buns you’ll ever eat. Nine choices in the morning we were there. Come early as there are lineups. If you are ever in Ladysmith, this is a must visit and must have!
